Fumakilla Entomology Research Centre (ERC) – a first in SE Asia
Our ERC also collaborated with various independent organizations including the World Health Organisation (WHO), universities, institutes and the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM). Some of the programmes that the ERC is involved in includes:
- Proficient Test Programme - our ERC is a coordinator for labs that would like to calibrate their results when testing chemicals against insects
- Screening Research - to identify the resistance of tolerance level amongst mosquitoes across the region
- a) Providing SIRIM with specific trials before a standard guideline can be established
- a) Providing manufacturing reference material/products for SIRIM
